Most Port of Miami itineraries involve tropical destinations, such as southern, eastern, and western Caribbean sailings, as well as trips to Mexico and to the Bahamas. While in Miami, there are a number of sites to see. One of the most popular is the South Beach Art Deco District, which offers a square mile of1920s-1930s retro style, colorful architecture. Miami also offers a number of shopping opportunities, ranging from malls to boutiques, as well as upscale restaurants. Lodging is also abundant in Miami, making it possible to arrive a few days before or after the cruise departure.
