Activities During Your Wedding Cruise

When embarking on your wedding cruise, there are many fabulous activities you can participate in. The exact wedding cruise activities will vary from cruise line to cruise line and, of course, the destination is the ultimate appeal to the cruise. Nonetheless, you can truly spend some quality time with your new spouse while cruising along to your destination.

Wedding Cruise Lectures, Fun, and Fitness Activities

One common feature of cruise packages is educational lectures. Cruise lines such as Holland American cruise lines are known for their enrichment activities, but other cruise lines usually offer their passengers at least a few educational opportunities. Some lectures can simply provide information about port locations, such as customs, shopping opportunities, and suggestions. Other activities may include lectures on photography, art, science, or wine tasting. Other educational activities may include dance lessons or even napkin folding demonstrations.

In addition to learning something new, you can certainly have fun on a wedding cruise. Popular onboard amusements include games such as Trivia or cruise line versions of “Survivor” or “American Idol.” Cruise lines such as Carnival Cruise are particularly popular for their fun activities. Some can even get a bit outrageous, such as sexy leg contests, hairy chest contests, and belly flop contests.

Of course, you don’t want to get out of shape while dining on all of the scrumptious food on your wedding cruise. Cruise lines offer a number of fitness opportunities. At the very minimum, you will find a gym on board. Most also offer fitness classes such as Pilates, kick-boxing, yoga, step classes, and stretching. Some of these classes do cost a bit extra, so make sure you and your sweetie are prepared to pay the fees if you want to participate in these classes.

Many cruise lines also provide jogging tracks or organized morning walks to help keep passengers in shape. Sporting equipment such as shuffleboard courts, golf simulators, basketball courts, ping-pong tables, volleyball courts, and ice-skating rinks are also commonly found on board.

Getting Pampered, Cruise Gambling, and Honeymoon Cruise Shopping

After all that working out, you and your honey will want a little pampering. While on your wedding cruise, you can take advantage of the on-board spa. Often, spa treatments cost extra, and can be a bit costly, but for your special wedding cruise it is worth the cost. Here, you can enjoy pedicures, facials, manicures, seaweed wraps, hairstyling, and hot stone massages. Some treatments can be quite exotic and romantic, helping you create memories you will not soon forget.

If you want to try your hand at luck while on your wedding cruise, most cruise lines offer on board casinos. The size of the casinos will vary from cruise line to cruise line, but even the smallest have plenty to offer. No matter which line you choose, you will be sure to find video poker terminals, slot machines, and table games such as craps, roulette, and blackjack. Or, you can play a little Bingo, where many cruise lines offer free cruises as the grand prize.

If you love to shop, you don’t have to wait to get back on land. Cruise ships provide a number of souvenir boutiques where you can purchase standards such as shot glasses, postcards, t-shirts, and toys as keepsakes of your wedding cruise. Most also offer specialty stores, offering items such as perfume, jewelry, liquor, watches, and upscale clothing.

With so many activities to choose from, you are guaranteed a fun, romantic, and exciting wedding cruise from beginning to end.
